AJ2025 - 26th Australian Jamboree

What is a Jamboree?

According to aj2025.com.au attending a Jamboree is the ultimate experience for any Scout. Imagine spending ten days enjoying the very best Scouting has to offer: awesome activities, new challenges, and endless opportunities to make friends for life. The Jamboree site will become a small city. There is everything you could possibly need, including an outdoor concert arena, activity zones, a marketplace, campsites, retail outlets, live entertainment, a medical centre and a media hub. Now imagine the possibilities when you fill that space with ten thousand Scouts and Venturers - the perfect ingredients to make friends for life!

AJ2025 - 26th Australian Jamboree

For the Scouts from the groups of Charters Towers, Lower Burdekin, Belgian Gardens, Pimlico Mundingburra, Loam Island and Kirwan the rain and mud were no barrier to adventure and fun at the Scout Jamboree on the Fraser Coast held in January.

Thirty Scouts aged 11 to 15 years and 14 Venturers aged 16 to 17 and nine leaders and adult helpers made the trek to Maryborough for a truly unforgettable 11 days packed full of truly out-of-the-box thinking challenging and fun activities.

From whizzing through the air at Mt Summit, the iconic Challenge Valley mud run, riding motorised eskies and blower-vac soccer, to being wowed by outstanding performances from honorary Scouts Amy Shark, Budjerah, Dave Hughes and DJ Havana Brown, Kennedy Region Scouts have been having the time of their lives in Maryborough with 10,000 other Scouts and Leaders from around Australia and overseas.

Offsite, the Scouts took advantage of their spectacular Fraser Coast location to explore Maryborough and snorkel, experience stand up paddleboarding and bob around in inflatables at Hervey Bay.

They all had come home exhausted but had a fantastic time and ready for their next adventure.
