Imagine spending ten days enjoying the very best Scouting has to offer: awesome activities, new challenges, and endless opportunities to make friends for life. The Jamboree site will become a small city. There is everything you could possibly need, including an outdoor concert arena, activity zones, a marketplace, campsites, retail outlets, live entertainment, a medical centre and a media hub.   Welcome to Kennedy Region Scouts Blog. We hope through reading our stories and adventures that you will become more familiar with what Scouting looks like in Kennedy Region and why Scouting is still relevant in our modern day. Kennedy Region is part of Scouts Asutralia, Qld Branch and is located in Townsville, North Queensland.  It covers an area from Home Hill in the south to Ingham in the North and Charters Towers in the West.  The groups currently active in our region are Charters Towers, Lower Burdekin, Pimlico Mundingburra, Belgian Gardens, Loam Island, Kirwan and Bluewater. Kennedy Region has two permanent campsites at Tarmaroo Bluewater Scout camp and Florence Bay Campsite.  These campsites are available for Scouts, Scout familes and the public to enjoy.  1. Scouting is non-formal education and complements the formal education of young people. Scouting aims to assist with the development of the whole person.
